Introduction
Casa Asia hosts the seventh edition of Asia Innov@, an annual programme focused on the spreading of new technologies and innovation.
In the next years, nanotechnology will star one of the technological revolutions with most impact on the efficient solution of challenges the society of the 21st century faces. Production and conversion of energy, treatment of water and waste, more resistant new materials and environmental toxicity are only some of the current research fields of nanotechnology.
The lecture is a parallel event within the framework of an encounter of outstanding Japanese and Spanish researchers organised by the Japanese Agency of Science and Technology (JST, in its Japanese abbreviation) and the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICNN) which will be held on the 10th, 11th and 12th of March in Barcelona.
The purpose of this event is to strengthen the scientific relations of Spain and Japan within the field of nanotechnology and science of materials to search for joint solutions to problems related to sustainability and environment, as well as the generation, conversion, transport and storage of energy.
